Javascript console is showing this error when I try to add a Scout in Scoutbook Plus.
You don’t add Scouts to Scoutbook+. They are automatically added overnight after they are on your my.scouting.org roster.
What steps did you take when you received this error?
I’m using the new MBC Dashboard in Scoutbook Plus to connect to Scouts for a merit badge I’m counseling. I was able to connect with several other Scouts but adding one particular Scout throws a 409 error.
Specifically, I navigated to Scoutbook Plus , clicked on Add Youth, filled in Last Name, Member ID, and the merit badge. Click on Save. Nothing happens but Javascript console shows 409 error for a Post call to the https://api.scouting.org/advancements/v2/meritBadges/counselors/assignToYouth endpoint.
Please post the Scout’s Scouting America Member ID (no names) and we will investigate.

Are you trying to connect to DG who you are connected to for Swimming in legacy Scoutbook?
Yes, trying to connect to DG. Their parent gave me that ID, and I was able to connect in Legacy Scoutbook. Maybe it’s the parent’s ID and not DG’s?
