Our troop is sending multiple crews to SeaBase at the end of the month, so parents are completing final document collection so we are ready to go.
I’ve had several questions about accessing our own scout’s ID cards. I know, and have confirmed this through multiple searches through these forums and generally online, that we could access these in My.Scouting through our Profile > Registrations.
I have confirmed, however, that I can no longer see my scouts in this section and therefore cannot access their ID card this way. I have confirmed that we are properly linked with the correct relationship in Scoutbook Plus.
Can anyone confirm that this has been moved? I cannot find anywhere else to access my own scout’s ID card, so it seems like the only option at this point is to have the unit save and print all of the youth ID cards.
Parents have never really been able to see Scouts in my.scouting.org - not sure if they could ever see the cards - that is more or a unit or council function
@JustinMorgan1 I am not sure if parents previously had access to print the membership cards for their own children.
I would recommend asking your local council to send in a help ticket on your behalf and ask for this ability to be added.
It would be a whole system change - viewing someone else in my.scouting as a parent is not there other than some registration actions
If the Scout has their own username/login at my.Scouting.org, they can log in and download their own membership card. I just tested it.
The unit Key 3 or Key 3 Delegates can also print from the unit roster in My.Scouting by putting a check next to all the individuals they want to print cards for and then selecting print in the gray toolbar.
