Is there a contact for assistance with scoutbook plus? I am a functional key three in all my units and I am having an issue viewing adult activity logs within the units. (Troop 27, Troop 327, Pack 27 and Crew 57)
For example, I am trying to view camping nights and I get the error: Your position and related permissions do not allow you to perform this action. I’m not sure why it would do that. I have trouble with all the adults in the units for the most part.
I reached out to my local council and they verified that I had all the related permissions and roles necessaryto be able to view and edit any activity log so this is a bit beyond my reach as to why.

@AnastasiaDittrich - have you selected the unit and role in the dropdown in the upper right of the site ?
I have four units where I am the Key 3 delegate/ COR Delegate as well as Admin in the particular unit. I am also a scout parent so I am very careful to make sure I am selecting the correct role. there are two adults in the unit that I am able to see the list of activities (camping, hiking, service hours) and the rest it indicates I do not have the related position to do the task.
@AnastasiaDittrich - well one thing is that if you are the COR delelgate you would not really need to be a a key 3 delegate that I am aware of. What other roles and positions are you assigned to in scoutbook classic ?
Troop/ Pack or Crew admin depending on the unit, Committee Member for all, Unit Secretary/ Treasurer for Troops and Key 3 Delegate. The COR Delegate is only listed on my.scouting
@Stephen_Hornak
COR Delegate and Key 3 Delegate are different roles. Having both is not an issue. COR Delegate only gives you the ability to do things a
coat can do that other Key 3 cannot such as approving leaders.

yes, that is why I was assigned the role functionally. Our COR lives out in Long Island and isn’t always readily available for signatures.
This morning after the brief maintenance I regained ability to view one of the leaders I could not previously, though the problem is not entirely gone. I am noticing it switched all her parent camping nights from when she was not yet a leader, into leader nights. I hope that when scout book does its updates on the 22nd that whatever this is that’s causing the error disappears.

Concerning viewing the camping records of: 141531787 and 141584278
Hello all. I have posted once before on this topic and I am hoping someone has something else I can try with this.
I am a functional Key Three for our chartered organization. We have multiple units (4) in our chartered org and in every unit I hold this role. I have the ability to enter anything into the activity logs camping, service hours etc. for whatever reason when I pull these two adults up I can not view their logs. I am shown the same error: your position and related permissions do not allow you to perform this action. I do not get this error in any other unit but our girls troop. I had hoped that the updates last month would have fixed this but it’s not the case. I have already reached out to council again and on there end they show I have all the correct permissions for what I am trying to do.
I also am certain I am in the correct unit in the drop down menu.
thank you in advance.
Anastasia
@AnastasiaDittrich Please post the member ID numbers for the adults that you are trying to access, and someone can take a look.
(No names, please)
@JenniferOlinger they are listed in the original post above. I will copy and paste here as well:

Thank you
@AnastasiaDittrich I think the issue is that both users are registered adult leaders in 2 councils.
The first adult leader only has 1 Scoutbook account (userID), but he needs 2.
The second adult leader has 2 Scoutbook accounts, but only has positions on one of them. Her positions probably need to be split up between the 2 Scoutbook accounts.
@JenniferOlinger Im not sure that’s it. I have other leaders registered in more than one council that I can see. For example user 140974026 who is registered both in NNJC and Minsi Trails. Our council has always told us we shouldn’t have more than one leader member id.
@AnastasiaDittrich
If you are registered in multiple councils you WILL have multiple member IDs. Each Council has their own and they can’t see member IDs from other Councils. It has been this way for years.

I realize they will have different identifiers within their council systems but is their BSA membership id number with national not a single number ? After asking them Im told they have a single log in, and a single BSA member id.
I used to be able to see these records but nothing has changed. Would the fact that they are the head of a chartered organization outside of the unit have anything to do with anything? Both of those organizations are also within this council.
@AnastasiaDittrich
There is no unified national ID number. Each Council has their own set and every time someone changes councils they get an additional number.
