Activity "record" button is greyed out

Hi there,

I am the unit AC and I’m trying to record some service hours and some camping nights. I’ve been able to get to the page like I always do but no matter WHAT I do, the “record” button at the bottom of the create new activity page is just greyed out instead of green. I have filled out every possible box possible and still will not turn green. I had admin permissions too and that seems to be gone since we had a new scout register with the troop this week. I have been able to add and edit things just fine for awhile. The only new thing that happened was we had a new scout register. Then a bunch of settings seemingly changed. I verified with the SM and CC that they did not remove any permissions on their end so I don’t know if there’s a glitch, a bug, or if something got defaulted back to old settings somewhere after the new kid registered. I still can do other things but I can’t record a new activity through the roster > click on scouts > record activity > create new activity route - or by going to the activities page to add a new event from there. There use to be a plue “+” in the top corner but that is no longer there either. I have verified I’m under my committee profile and not the parent or MBC profile. Can anyone help figure out what I need to do to get this resolved?

@NicoleBarton you are UAC - that does not allow you to record Activities under the new Permissions - Your Key 3 need to look at these 2 links and take they actions they need to

A major focus of the migration to Scoutbook Plus is to have positions mirror the positions shown in My.Scouting to ensure positions were reflected accurately in both platforms. The main purpose it to honor the guidance of our charter organizations and the positions they approve. Therefore, Scoutbook Plus does not use Legacy Scoutbook positions. Registered positions are used to provide base permissions. Some additional permissions can be added by the unit, however, there are restrictions on what can be given. See the updated Scoutbook_Permissions.pdf and the Scoutbook Plus permissions video for more details.

I totally understand that there’s new permissions - but I HAD those permissions until this new scout was added this week. So is there a way to check when those permissions were removed or by who? Because I was also an Admin - just not key 3. Key 3 is the CC, SM, and Rep. I’m the only one that logs any of the activities and have been logging them in this entire time - even after the new permission changes were implemented - it was like something was reset after the new kid registered this week.

@NicoleBarton you never had any specific permission other than the UAC ones.

I’m also committee which under the document that you also sent, says that activity permissions are included. And I 100% absolutely KNOW for a fact that I’ve had other permissions. We had to get them fixed before through council. I’m AC and committee and was a unit Admin. After the scout registered this week - those permissions disappeared. I didn’t just imagine doing all the things I’ve been able to do since it got fixed again by council in November. So not really sure how you can say that I’ve never had any specific permissions other than UAC, that just doesn’t match what was actually happening.

@NicoleBarton- committee member has no default permission

The superscript circle next to activity permissions means it can be given by the key 3

And unit admin is meaningless as that was a legacy scoutbook position.
