Add'l Parent unable to connect to Scout

Youth BSA ID 141490429

Youth has 2 parents listed, the second parent doesn’t have a BSA ID generated and is listed as ‘invalid birthdate’ I need a BSA ID generated to register the parent for a family camp. The parent without the BSA ID did get an email with a user password inviting him to connect with youth, but the user name field was blank.

Is the solution to have him create a my.scouting account and have mom invite him again and then remove this profile without a BSA ID, or what is the fix?

@KatieGooding Ask the parent to create an account at my.Scouting. He should use his full legal name - not a nickname.

Then the parent should log in to Scoutbook (legacy) at:

https://scoutbook.scouting.org

and go to:

My Account → My Connections

Near the top, the user will see some text (in red bold) that says: “Connect to your Scout as Parent/Guardian

The user will need to know the Scout’s BSA member ID number in order to connect this way.

Afterwards, we can merge the Scoutbook accounts.

Thanks! The parent has done that and now we see two of them. Can you please merge the accounts? Or delete the one that’s missing a BSA ID#?
