There have been several times when I’ve needed to enter an adult leader’s DOB when doing routine things. For instance, when submitting an adult OA nomination, or registering for some events or activities, especially with external outfitters. It would be very useful to show the full DOB on the adult profile in SB+.
I understand that this can be sensitive and agree that it should require access limitations, but the adults have already shared this information with us via their application, and on med forms, hiding it on the electronic platform is excessive. Some people in the unit do have valid reasons to use this information. At least the unit key 3 should have access to this without needing to dig thru original paper membership applications or med forms. Preferably it would be assignable access so that it can be granted to other specific leaders that may be delegated to doing registration tasks that may require the info.
Scouting America will not expose the full DOB via Scoutbook. If you need this information you need to ask the adult.
