Most of the Scouts in troop do not show a start date. Before the change over to Scoutbook Plus this date showed in the system. Is there something that we need to do to get this date to show up again?
The date is just a placeholder date - just enter a date after Cubs or around when they joined the troop - it is there to limit reports
@TinaDover - you could also use the date of the first requirement completed for scout rank. I used the date of crossover from cubs or when they showed up on the roster in my.scouting.org.

The start date does not automatically fill in because Scouting America IT’s membership database uses the first of the month joined even if the Scout joins on the last day of the month. Because the date is used to make sure Cub Scout activities are filtered out from some reports. If the date in the database were used, the filters would not work properly.
