Bulk "Unit Quick Entry" Feature -- Over-write protection

Hi Team,

I’m writing to request a feature for using the Unit Quick Entry (UQE) tool. It’s powerful and I love using it, however I find myself adding comments to already, pre-approved requirements.

In other words, I have scouts that have completed a Tenderfoot Rank (i.e. 3b - Demonstrate a practical use of two half-hitches) at a Troop meeting, but also took this training at a Trail To First Class (TTFC) event.

As I’m using their TTFC booklet to mark off the requirements that were completed, I add a date, status (complete/approved) and comment. The date and status do NOT change on the original requirement that’s pre-approved (awesome, love that) but the comment somehow makes its way to that pre-approved requirement. Which can be misleading when revisiting advancements in the future ( i.e. “Why does the comment say we need to review this, if it’s already been approved?” )

Is there a way we can have the UQE tool completely ignore updating pre-approved requirements so that no comments are written to it? Much like how the dates and approval status don’t change?

@UmarRamirez - why would you revisit advancement that is completed and approved

IT is an interesting question - but comments are totally different from the complete data - would have to see - though staff is not going to see it as a high priority at all.

@Stephen_Hornak
Parents use it to track their children’s progress, so want to keep the messaging consistent & avoid confusion.

It would also come in handy when leaders reflect on youths experience with certain training. They would be able to identify patterns to help enhance our approach.

@DonovanMcNeil Thank you for the quick response.
I totally understand having to prioritize features, but please don’t loose track of this.
The more our unit grows the larger the impact this feature has.

@UmarRamirez - ah.. not a re-visit with the youth but a post assessment or evaluation of the program.
