Calendar - Attendee type

I would like to be able to invite attendees as either “required” or “optional”. An example of this is that we have two monthly unit-wide service projects. For each event, a designated Den is responsible to attend it, but the event is open to the entire unit. I’d like to be able to invite everyone, but not have participation levels impacted when people outside the designated Den don’t attend. Being able to list them as “optional” attendees would solve this problem.
