Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
A leader is showing in the permission list as having “calendar editor” as a position/role, and the calendar editor permissions shows them with Create/Edit/Remove though grayed out check box. However there is no calendar editor role that can be assigned in either the new permissions box or my.scouting.org (it existed in legacy scoutbook). How is this granted?
I am asking because this leader can’t edit the calendar, so and i noticed this oddity when i went to double check permissions. I am also wondering because I have a scout who is calendar editor and can’t access the calender. Wondering if the old setting is somehow blocking things up?
13564405 I assume she is getting the permissions automatically because she is configured as “Calendar Editor” role, but how did she get into that role and how would she get out?
I am key 3 and the permissions are grayed out, but they are listed as a Calendar Editor, however there is no place the Calendar Editor Role is configurable anymore. I would assume it should be under Assign Position, but it is not listed. That’s my main ask, where is the Calendar Editor Role configurable.
On the Positions tab of Position Manager, does this member appear in the Unit Outdoor/Activities Chair box? I don’t see this functional position in Akela and that may be causing the issue.
