With this pandemic situation we were not able to camp out since March 2020. Some of the requirements for rank advancement requires camp nights and cooking. How are the other troops handling this?
Per the BSA’s COVID-19 FAQs, units can use virtual camping to complete the cooking requirements. We’ve been considering cooking done during virtual (i.e. family) camping to qualify, as long as it meets requirements laid out.
Well, we are lucky in that we can do small group campouts so that has been a chunk of it, and we had to go out of state for summer camp. If neither work for you, virtual nights are the only other option (which is what we had to rely on for a bit).
Thank you for your prompt responses.
We camp regularly … back on a monthly since July, so no change.
