@PatrickMaguire Troop Admin is a dead position with Scoutbook+.
As an ASM - it all depends on how your unit set up permissions - talk to the Key 3
Donovan, thank you for response and I found this file filestore.scouting.org and accompanying video. Is there a video that explains the pdf? What “category permission” would I need to be allowed to add that parent as a connection ?
@PatrickMaguire the blue box at the top of the forums has the video and pdf
A major focus of the migration to Scoutbook Plus is to have positions mirror the positions shown in My.Scouting to ensure positions were reflected accurately in both platforms. The main purpose it to honor the guidance of our charter organizations and the positions they approve. Therefore, Scoutbook Plus does not use Legacy Scoutbook positions. Registered positions are used to provide base permissions. Some additional permissions can be added by the unit, however, there are restrictions on what can be given. See Scoutbook_Permissions.pdf and the Scoutbook Plus permissions video for more details.
Stephen,
As i mentioned in my reply to Donovan I found BOTH the PDF and video you mentioned, the PDF is clear as mud and if I were to watch the video it would take up over 1/3 of the ONE hour per month I have allocated for December and we are only in the 4th day. What “category permission” would I need to be allowed to add that parent as a connection ? I am guessing it has something to do with profile but once again the clarity is not sufficient to determine that.
Patrick
Anyone ever think of a grid with roles across top and permissions down the side?
I believe it is Profile Edit
