I cannot open a scout’s full profile page from the roster in Scoutbook Plus. According to a Scoutbook tutoria/help pagel under the heading Advancements in Troops Crews and Ships, “If you click on the Scout’s name in Scoutbook Plus, you will be brought to the Scout’s page.” Nothing happens if I click on the scout’s name, beside or above it, nor on the square in the column before their name to select their name in order to view their report and make adjustments. My position should allow me to access this information - Co-Advancement Chair. I am trying to look at the information I just input into a scout’s record to confirm it was added correctly. Suggetions?
What’s your registered position, and what supplemental permissions are you assigned in SB+? There’s only one UAC functional position slot in my.scouting/SB+, so there’s no way for two scouters to co-occupy it without one of them being separately assigned permissions.
Under the column heading “Type” I am listed as “Leader”, under column heading “Position” there is a P in a box and “Committee Member”
There are almost no default permissions for a committee member without adding things by the unit Key 3. Check on your supplemental permissions by hovering over your name in the roster on a desktop. I’m on mobile just now and can’t get it to display.
Ah, the “p” is the permissions, I think. I’m a Key 3 Delegate in my unit, so I tend to go straight to the permissions manager to set/view things.

What is the meaning of that? wondering if that has anything to do with it? The other advancement chair who helps me is listed as the Unit Advancement Chair.
Ahh, when I hover over the “P” I see all my permissions and I do have many (see list below), but I still can’t figure out how to open a scout’s profile page. I know I have done it in the past, but not on this system. and certainly not as described in the aforementioned instructions.

Hrm… between profile editor and advancement editor, it seems like you should be able to get there.
I’m assuming you’re already in your registered scouter position under the drop-down menu in the upper right. What about trying a forced reload of the page and/or clearing the cache for browser or just for *.scouting.org? SB+ has a tendency to cache a lot of stuff, and for reasons totally opaque to me, it seems to go “stale” all the time and can cause issues.
If that doesn’t sort it, can you please post the scout’s member ID (no names, please!)? One of the SUAC volunteers can look into the back end and see if there’s something odd with that particular scout that’s triggering the issue.
Thanks, I’ll try clearing the cache. It’s not just one scout, it’s all names. Mine, my own child, other scouts.
Hrm…yeah, that sounds like something broke for sure. It could just be in the cache, I suppose. The SUAC should be able to dig deeper than I can (I’m just a unit ASM who helps out with the basic stuff when I can) if clearing cache doesn’t sort it.
