I was using the bulk load for partial merit badges. I made a mistake. I accidentally flagged approved, unchecked approved, but apparently completed did not uncheck with it. (Bug?)
Can you please uncheck 8a (mark not completed) for Reptiles and Amphibians merit badge for 140516024?
Also, can you please uncheck the following NOA requirements?
- Aquatics 4(a)(vii)
- Hiking 2(a)
- Riding 1(b)
- Aquatics 4(a)(vii)
I am not sure what happened with those NOA rep’s. I can see me making a mistake on one…but not all of those. Is it possible that when things auto populated that mapping went to the wrong values? If so, that may mean that this happened to others.
Thank you and very grateful for all of your work!
John
@JohnSagami - you should be able to do this as I do not think anyone on the forums can. For Reptiles 8a:
For NOA it would be the same action clicking on that chevron to expose the date
thanks for the merit badge it worked. But is that a bug or a feature when you are both loading mat badge requirements and uncheck approved and it only unchecked approved and not completed?
For the NOA, I’m not sure how those got populated. Did these automatically populate?
For example, the small boats does not appear on the top as complete completed, awarded or approved. Yet the requirement is filled. And funny enough it is the same date as the swimming badge that actually was awarded and earned.
That is what led me to ask if somehow, during the migration things were not pointed at the correct record in the database.
But if I am the only one complaining about this, then it absolutely has to be me.
I have no access to change those as far as I can tell. I tried selecting the box to activate the date, but it does nothing for me.. They appear to be locked in.
How can I get this resolved?
@JohnSagami - Where did the merit badge uploads come from ? If this was using the feature assistant then there really is not a scoutbook issue. I am not sure how much more support there will be for the feature assistant. On the NOA requirements you would use the same method to remove the date.. use the chevron like for the merit badge.
ie:
Aquatics 4(a)(vii) go to that req, click on the chevron which will then present the date
@JohnSagami - typically the upload files are completed requirements otherwise there would be nothing to upload
Hey Stephen, I’m sorry but you’re talking over my head here.
What do you mean by feature assistant?
In SB Legacy we were able to delete erroneous data. In SB+ we are not.
Where does this authority and power now lie? It is apparent that it no longer lies with unit leadership.
In other words, can you please direct me to a person or contact like an email where I can ask to get this fixed?
Approved and Completed are different states. Unchecking Approved should not automatically uncheck Completed. When you say bulk upload, I assume you’re talking about the quick entry feature, since I don’t know of a way to uncheck something in the upload files?
When you say migration, are you talking about an external upload file or the move from classic SB to SB+? Classic SB and SB+ share the same database, so there was no migration on that end.
Generally, the unit Key 3 have full access, and everyone else has to be assigned access by the Key 3 under the new permissions structure (which is visible to the Key 3 in SB+ on the left side menu).
As Stephen noted, the chevron menu drop-down is the way to access the individual requirement states. However, if a requirement is auto-completing, you may have to un-check the underlying requirement (e.g. go to a merit badge that wasn’t complete and un-check the erroneously completed requirement).
@JohnSagami - when you say bulk upload what exactly were you doing uploading a file from camp or something else. That is why i mentioned the feature assistant for uploading black pug or tentaroo files.
@JohnSagami the NOA stuff is a know Bug that is reported
@JohnSagami try clearing the aquatics one for me - you have to complete a sub Req - clear the req - then 4a should clear
This explains a lot.
I used to be a CC delegate, I am not in my new troop.
By module migration I mean modules migrating from Legacy to +.
Yes I was using bulk load.
I will try the Aquatics suggestion.
Thanks
