Cannot enter advancements for cub scouts

My cub scouts each finished their ranks for the 2025-2026 school year. Now I want to enter summertime progress for their next ranks, but Scoutbook Plus gives me an error on each scout’s profile page: “Youth is not eligible to earn this advancement or you do not have permission to edit advancements.”

For example, scout 140245195 finished Wolf rank and is now earning Bear advancements at summer camp. I cannot record their progress on Bear adventures. The issue exists for all the other cubs in my pack as well.

I am listed as my unit’s Cubmaster in my.scouting.org. Today I also entered myself as the advancement chair to see if that would resolve the issue, but there is no change so far.

At the risk of asking a dumb question, have the scouts been moved to a Bear den? Cub advancement is governed by what den level they’re assigned to, not by which rank they have completed.

You’re right, I need to move the dens up a rank. Other adults in our unit had done that step in the past and I forgot all about it.
