Can't add additional bsa member number

An adult is trying to add an additional member number to his my.scouting.org profile and is getting an error message. His member numbers are 137351821 (active) and 137114254 (inactive.)

@RobertReeves2 the user has 2 logins :

  1. ++++++++++1984 - this has both the above numbers already - this has last login
  2. ++++++++84 - this has 1821 and another one

I assume they want to keep number #1? If so I can clean things up

I think so. Double checking with him now. This all started because he has a ton of online training that is not showing up on his primary registration number. Trying to get it all sorted out so that he shows up as trained for his Cubmaster position.

Well the 4254 and the other listed look to be deleted BSA Numbers

Yes, he wants to continue to use the *1984 log in. Can you merge them? He is showing me screen shots of completed learning plans in the learn center that do not show up on his training record at my.scouting.org. I’m really hoping that these issues are related.

Can you provide a few examples of training courses he has completed that don’t appear?

@RobertReeves2 well of the 3 MIDs - 2 are deleted and therefore have no training

@RobertReeves2 Could you ask him to log all the way out at my.Scouting, and then log back in.

Then ask him to click on “My Training”. Does he see the training there now?


Only one or two of the modules on this learning plan appear on his record.

I have logged out of all my scouting apps and when I log back in it still has the same training as before. And not all the online training that I have completed.

@DanielHalstead all I can tell you is all BSA#s that are for you that we see are merged so training should also be - that being said - it seems your council (or someone) deleted 2 #s - and that would delete any training if it was not merged yet - I would start a discussion with them

Not sure why I have all these numbers and why some were deleted. Can you look at this one course hazardous weather it shows I completed in 11/2022 the other courses that are not showing up were all completed around this time. Can you tell if these were associated with one of the deleted numbers


no we really can’'t see things in that manner. Can say on Both of your log ins - the Primary BSA# was set to a Deleted BSA# not a registered one

@DanielHalstead any more examples of dates training was taken and proof?

I think the user should log into my.scouting.org. Then click on the user in the upper right, and go to “My Training”. That should be a history of everything.

What you are looking at can be incomplete, I think, for various reasons. Was the course updated? If so, you lose the date completed in the displays you are showing. Did the 2 years expire on hazardous weather? The completion for that may be lost as it still needs to be redone.

I wouldn’t say they are “deleted” or “lost” unless they are missing from this “my completions” report.

So I see all the training I completed on 11/2/22 and 11/3/22 are the ones that are showing as not completed in the my training but when I click on it it shows as being completed on one of the above dates. If it was updated and required to take again I would think it wouldn’t show as being completed anywhere.
