Committee Member is showing up twice with name misspelling

Somehow one of my Committee Members is in the BSA system twice. His actual BSA id is 14131919. Unfortunately his Committee Membership and YPT is attached to BSA id 137261806. I’m not sure how this happened, but it was a headache during recharter. Both of these accounts show up connected to his son, BSA id 134909224.

Can everything for BSA id 137261806 be merged onto BSA id 14131919, and then (and only then) delete BSA id 137261806 from existence so that it never raises its ugly head again?

At the end of this:

  • BSA id 14131919 should now be a Committee Member for our Troop.
  • BSA id 14131919 should have the YPT status that BSA id 137261806 used to have.
  • Any other metadata (besides profile information like name and email, etc.) from for BSA id 137261806 should be attached to BSA id 14131919.
  • BSA id 137261806 should no longer exist.

I’m only nervous because the important information is stored on the wrong account.

Thanks!

@JamesBishop1 I am checking.

@JamesBishop1 This user does have 2 BSA member ID numbers:

137261806 - Committee Member registration
14131919

The first one has to be set as “primary” (Manage Member ID), because that is the one with his Committee Member registration. His training should be copied onto the primary BSA MID within 24 hours.

I think the primary BSA MID most likely has the misspelled last name. Your local council can fix it. I have merged his Scoutbook accounts.

Thank you! I’ve reached out to GNYC Service Desk.
