My daughter recently joined our unit and I am working to connect her to me in Scoutbook. 1 main issue is Council entered her last name wrong but my main issue is that I can’t figure out how to connect her. Help- her id is ID141653877 if that helps and they spelled her last name En. I need to connect her so we can get the Edmond History Museum counselors attached for the summer merit badges she is doing. Thanks!
@MeghanCarman a user cannot add themself as a relationship to a scout for security. Another parent that is already in Scouting America Relationship with the scout can add another parent or a unit leader can. Council can both fix the last name and add the parent relationship.
Got it, so even though I am a unit leader I don’t have the right permission. I will ask someone to do it tomorrow at the meeting! Thank you.
Being a leader does not matter - because you are taking action on yourself. We do not want leaders making themself parents of scouts, we want a second leader to validate it.
@MeghanCarman What happened is that your daughter’s last name is misspelled. You also have a second member ID (MID) number with your last name misspelled the same way.
If you contact your local council, they can fix the spelling and correct the relationships.
