Content Management / Pages

I’d like to migrate to start using SB Plus exclusively for our unit to get away from the ongoing challenges around keeping all our data in sync between it and our external tool.

One thing I can’t pin down how to do with SB Plus is content. On our external tool, we are able to create a menu of links to resources and informational pages. For example we have a page every year for our summer camp plan that lists the camp, links to videos, parents guides, leader guides, etc. We have a summer camp packing list we link to, and we have built SOP guides for most of our troop’s common tasks as a continuity tool between shifting adult leaders.

Is there a “homepage” or landing spot for troop members besides the calendar? Does a unit need to maintain an external website still and manage access for this kind of content? I could not find any obvious (to me) features or help docs that hint at this.

@MikeW there is no Landing page for Units to use for information in SB+

@MikeW - we have leveraged the free google sites for our units and i just create folder for important specific documents like summer camp and just a general share for routine documents. Fairly easy to maintain.

Who maintains it? I want something my youth webmasters will have the ability to create/maintain.

Any SYT/YPT concerns? Do you manage access to the site or do you leave it public?

Any SYT questions you should ask Council as they are the professionals

@MikeW - the site is public and up until recently we had youth maintaining the site. No SYT concerns that I would know of. As Donovan pointed out SYT questions should go to your council.
