Cyber Chip How?

Has there been a final ruling on the Cyber Chip? We have a few scouts working on Star Rank and after watching the videos here: https://www.nsteens.org/Videos There is no way to print a certificate as it states here: https://www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection/cyber-chip/grades-9-12/
How do you complete it? Any firms rules yet from National?
“Scout can add the new date to the Cyber Chip card or certificate.” What certificate?
thnx!! Michelle

The BSA used to have a certificate that could be downloaded:

Printable Cyber Chip Certificates

I don’t know why they were removed, but you can put the recharge date on the back of the Cyber Chip pocket certificate (pocket card) where it says “recharge” or you can put it on the downloadable certificate.

Ok. So Netsmart used to let you print a certificate then present it to the leader. No more?

That’s correct. But the certificate the requirement is referring to is the BSA downloadable pdf - not anything on the NetSmartz website.

I would just have the Scout discuss with the leader which videos he or she watched and what the Scout learned. Then write the recharge date on the Cyber Chip card.

As a Scoutmaster I rely on #1 (A Scout is Trustworthy) - if they tell me I mark complete.

To me, the note at the bottom is just that. A note and not a requirement. There are 6 requirements none of which mention the certificate.
