ID 141307499. Focused on Pack roles for this topic. Joined Pack as a registered adult leader. Currently helping my better half as the Asst Den Leader for the AOLs. I can see Den Admin listed as a position plus one more that is not visible. I recall on the legacy SB, Den Admin would have allowed me to make the appropriate advancement updates to the Den. I only see options for reports, calendar and activity logs.
Is this something on my end? Or is this something I need to walk one of the key 3 members through?
@ManuelIbarra - the den admin is no longer a valid option
The key 3 would need to add you as a leader in that den and they can add the functional role of sub unit support
Understood. Thanks for clearing that mystery up.
Den Admin is still a position - but it is only used in the background to identify the den a leader is assigned to. For an ADL - you would use the permission manager to give the needed positions.
@DonovanMcNeil - thank you .. I stand corrected. I should have noted that it is no longer something that can be added like was available in legacy scoutbook.
So my CC checked and says I have ADL listed and Den Admin, but I still don’t have permissions for any of the scouts in the Den.
Meaning…select position and then add actual permissions??
A major focus of the migration to Scoutbook Plus is to have positions mirror the positions shown in My.Scouting to ensure positions were reflected accurately in both platforms. The main purpose it to honor the guidance of our charter organizations and the positions they approve. Therefore, Scoutbook Plus does not use Legacy Scoutbook positions. Registered positions are used to provide base permissions. Some additional permissions can be added by the unit, however, there are restrictions on what can be given. See the updated Scoutbook_Permissions.pdf and the Scoutbook Plus permissions video for more details. Just as permissions are now limited - so is report access - https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/scoutbook/Report-Permission-Access.pdf
@ManuelIbarra - did the key 3 add you as an adult for that respective den ?
@ManuelIbarra your Key 3 should look at https://discussions.scouting.org/uploads/short-url/qngvgDJg53aMPd2dxH2PlfAHlEK.pdf - an ADL has No permissions, as they are an assistant. Those can be given with permission manager.
