Divorced Parents and Scout Connections

Is there a way to ensure that a divorced parents is not disconnected from their scout? I know a parent who keeps getting disconnected from her scout. We are not sure how it is happening, but given what I know about the system, I think it must be originating from the other parent.

If you post the Member ID of the scout (no names please!), the SUAC folks may be able to investigate somewhat.

Which system are you seeing this in? Scoutbook? SB+? Can the “missing” parent see their old connection to the scout in My Connections in Scoutbook, to see if there’s a message in the comments box?

Based on my experience in the past, I couldn’t remove my wife from our scout, either in my role as a parent or in my role as a unit admin (you’re not the first to raise this question). Since my scout has now aged out, I can’t test things out with him in the current system.

Based again on that past experience, either the “missing” parent is removing themselves or the other parent has requested that the council remove the “missing” parent. This might be a “talk to council” situation to sort out what’s going on.
