Good afternoon. I am seeking help with Scoutbook Plus dropping scouts and leaders who are multiple participants from the main troop roster.
My three children (scouts) and I (adult leader) are multiple participants in Troop 351 in the FEC and Troop 73 in the NBFC. At some point, Scoutbook Plus dropped all four of us from Troop 351 in the FEC. I have selected Troop 351 as the main troop on my profile, but I still do not appear on the Troop 351 roster. Troop 73 shows we are all multiple participants, so it does not show as our main troop.
I am the COR for Troop 351, an assistant scoutmaster, and the troop secretary, and this has caused a number of issues as I cannot access our troop roster for Key 3 responsibilities. I have communicated with the FEC registrar, and she is unable to resolve the issue. I am being told this is an issue with Scoutbook Plus when the roster was moved from Scoutbook Legacy.
Has anyone experienced this issue, and does anyone have any advice? Is there a way to contact Scoutbook Plus directly? I was unable to find that information.
Thank you,
Melissa Saunders
@MelissaSaunders - have you tried the reset filter on the roster page in scoutbook plus ? You do however show both units in the upper right dropdown correct ?
Ok being registered in multiple councils is problematic for Scouting IT. The Adult is easier to manage.
the user can log into my.scouting.org > Click Manage Member ID > one of the BSA # will be there marked PRIMARY > as long as the info is the same then add the other MID (BSA #) - you want to make the one that is your unit registration PRIMARY. If it fails SUAC can help as all the personal Info has to match. Another complication with this is the Parent relationship for registrations with is tied to Member ID - it is best to ask Council to also check that.
On the Scouts. Advancement is not universal for SB User accounts. So what probably happened is the Member ID on the accounts flipped to the other MID for the Scout (and you as leader as well.). For Scouts we can make a second SB User so they have one in each unit with the different MIDs attached to them. The issue is advancement. Advancement would need to be handled by one unit under one MID for each scout, the other unit would not see entered advancement.
2 users can also be set. up for the adult as well.
So figure out what unit is going to manage the advancement, tell us and we can start the work of straightening things up.
@MelissaSaunders Which troop will be responsible for recording your children’s advancements? Troop 351 in FEC?
