I am Advancement Chair (BSA ID 124220859) for both a Boy & Girl Troop (254B & 254G). Up thru Nov 3 I was able to approve Advancements, add to Purchase Order and download Adv. Reports in ScoutBook. Now that has to be done in SB Plus, but the option to Approve, Add to PO’s and even view closed PO’s is not available to me for the girl troop.
I am trying to approve on MB for BSA ID 136495443, but there is no option to do that. SP Plus also says there are no closed PO’s to view and no open POs, but there should be an open PO. There are MB’s for the girl troop that are listed as To be Awarded, but they don’t have a PO linked to them. My SP Plus profile shows I am the Advancement Chair for both units.
@DavidCutler that is because you are not registered in a girls troop. You can see this at my.scouting.org > My Profile. You need to register as a leader in order to help the unit as a leader
Thanks. I thought that might be the situation. The recharter last year was messy and although they did some adjusting in ScoutBook, since SB+ is more closely tied to the my.scouting.org information, the migration to SB+ for Advancement updates removed the permissions since I’m not on the roster. I’ve communicated with our COR & Committee Chair to see if they can make correction in My scouting.org. Otherwise, I may just have to wait until this years recharter and have one of them do the tasks in SB+
That would be for a dual registration, correct? I know they are in the middle of recharter for 2026, so I’m not sure if that can be done for the remainder of just 2025, but I’ll give it a shot.
