I just completed the Scouting America online course SCO_483, Troop Committee Meetings, and there is an error in the final quiz.
The third question asks:
“The recommended agenda for a troop committee meeting includes: Call to order/welcome, Approval of minutes. __, Old business, __, Announcements and adjournment.”
I selected “Reports and new business,” but the course marked it incorrect and stated: “Reports and advancements are the missing parts.”
According to the SCO_483 course material, I was correct.
Unfortunately, the team that maintains the training system only takes bug reports/MemberCare tickets from the council professional staff, not the SUAC volunteers here. The most success seems to be when a detailed explanation of the issue is passed along to the council that they can simply copy-and-paste to send along to national. For example, in your case, specifically citing where the correct answer is presented in the training should help national locate the issue and address it to make sure it’s consistent.
