To close the loop on my issues, it looks like having Chickasaw Council “unsuspend” my account was the key. Last night my.scouting.org no longer said I wasn’t registered and this morning I was able to get into Scoutbook Plus for my troop and MB counselor duties. My.scouting.org still doesn’t show my current council under the manage member ID section, and I still don’t seem to be linked to my son as a parent, but I’m going to give it some more time and see if things still need to sync up.
I see you connected to A in the database. The merge did miss several duplicate SB accounts for you. I have notified the developers.
When I look in the Scouting app on my phone I see 0 youth. On Advancements.scouting.org I only see my leader positions in the “currently viewing” dropdown and don’t see the option to view as a parent. Maybe it will work itself out, but it could be because the connection to A has been an off and on problem since we moved councils last year.
Let’s wait to see what happens when your other SB accounts get properly merged. The developers have your case.
sounds good. I’ll keep an eye on it over the next few days. Thanks for your help!
I am having similar issues. I merged my IDs, and now my access to the troop is only half working. What can I do to fix this?
@MarissaMcAdam when did you merge the MIDs? I think you need to talk to Greater LA as your memberships are suspended, which we have seen happen with this process.
I merged them last week.
I have contacted greater LA twice and have not received any response.
are you contacting the registrar? asking a DE is useless as this is outside of their job.
I will try and contact our Tech Support. I know one of the positions I was contacting was Advancement & Registration.
What happened it seems is one of the MIDs you merged was suspended - maybe an expired Youth protection training or something - so that suspension stretches across all registrations with the merge.
Unfortunately, I am unable to switch Ids so I’m not able to verify that.
If you merged Member IDs there is nothing to switch - you just have one now - the others are deleted. Your registrations ARE currently suspended, I see that.
Dunno if it’s tied to the member ID merge or not, but I’m having trouble getting access to Scoutbook Plus. I can log into my.scouting and see my son listed under My Memberships, but when I try to go to Scoutbook Plus, I get a message saying “NO Scoutbook Plus ACCESS. It looks like you don’t have the right Scouting role to access Scoutbook Plus.” Worked with his Scoutmaster and he tried to send an invite, but no joy.
I created the login recently and there was a member ID associated with my son’s council, as well as one from my time in scouts many moons ago. I went ahead and tried to merge the two together, and I see both IDs on my account when I log in, and the one in my son’s council is showing as primary, so it looks like it should be right. Not sure if there’s something tied up in the merges causing the problems or if there’s something else I’m doing wrong, this is all new. Any guidance would be great. Thanks!
@BryceHoward Please try logging in at my.Scouting again, and then try logging in to Scoutbook Plus.
This was my problem, and you need to talk to the council registrar for the council that shows up on the “Manage Member ID” page of my.scouting.org. For my case it was a former council I was in as a youth. That was the key to getting my accounts working again.
Thanks to everyone that helped with my issue, I now have access to everything again.
