So apparently, if you let people start making somewhat off-topic comments on your posts, the moderators will close the post and eliminate the possibility of your question getting answered.
Something to keep in mind.
If a forum user wants to go off topic, there is nothing to prevent a forum user from opening a new topic discussion.

Still, I didn’t know that engaging with related but not on-topic posts would get the question closed.
