Help? adding email address in a new profile

I’m trying to set up our new Troop Chair. She was added before our recharter and Council added her to Scoutbook. She went into her profile to add her email address and it tells her that there is a pending account with her email and that the unit needs to delete it and search for her globally. I deleted the duplicate account, it still will not let her add her email address. There is no delete button to delete the profile that has her listed as our Troop Chair. What can I do to get her email address added to her profile?
