How do you register to be a merit badge counselor?

I’m trying to figure out how to register to be a merit badge counselor. It looks like there’s an online process, although I’m not sure it’s current or working.

Following instructions here: https://baltimorescouting.org/nationalpike/program/advancement-recognition/np-merit-badges/

  1. Simply go to http://my.scouting.org/VES/OnlineReg/1.0.0/?tu=UF-MB-220np09 to register as a counselor. If you are already a registered leader, you will get a warning screen stating you are already registered. Click CONTINUE to submit a duplicate registration.

I get the following, which results in an error.

I’m looking for some advice.

I would reach out directly to your council registrar. They have access to submit MemberCare tickets to national, since it looks like that’s a national registration site. They can likely also let you know if that’s an outdated or newly released process. I’ve definitely not seen it before.
