I had several scouts attend a merit badge class. They hadn’t gotten a pre-approved MB in Scoutbook. Regarding the counselor marking the MB as completed, they were told once I put them as attending in Scoutbook, they would get a notification and complete the card that way.
I have not been able to figure out how to mark them as “attending” a merit badge class, or even anywhere that tells me the class happened. Is there an option I don’t see somewhere, or a calendar I need to link to?
I only have 1 name from the class, and that individual doesn’t appear when I search in the MB Counselor listing.
We have since added the MB to their profiles as started.
@PaulGardner1 - was this a council or district run class ? I have yet to see those even entered in the scoutbook calender. Often there may be a download like from summer camp. But that is the extent of council or district involvement that i have seen.
I do not know; I had not heard about this until the dad sent me an email. He doesn’t know either and the website at the location doesn’t go backwards, nor does it list an upcoming class I could use as a pointer.
@PaulGardner1 - if you wanted to dig around the web.archive.org may have a snapshot of what was posted. Having done a merit badge event at the national constitution center they had the requirements outlined but it was on the units to note what was completed and to find an MBC.
