@CindyRobinson-Alade there is no re-instate - you will need to reapply to the unit - either online at beascout.scouting.org or on paper. The unit can help you get this done.

I have a Scout who has disappeared from our roster; he is active in our troop and his registration shouldn’t be expired but even when I filter for expired scouts, he’s not showing up. BSA Member ID is 135521199. Would this also be a case of needing to be reinstated?
@CandiceAlbertson This Scout’s registration expired 03/31/2026. Looks like he needs to be re-registered.
Shouldn’t he still show in the roster, though, even as expired registration?
I think they won’t show up if they are outside of the grace period (currently 2 months).
If you click on Filters then enable Expired the Scout will probably show but I don’t think you can update any advancement for an expired Scout.
