The duplicate profile was generated by following the directions on the Setting up Parent Accounts in the Scoutbook Knowledge Base, then trying to follow the prompts in the e-mail to setup a myScouting account. The KB article appears to be out-of-date. A current example of the invitation e-mail that is sent without a username is discussed in this post.
Would it be feasible to update:
a) the instructions in the Setting up Parent Accounts article
b) the instructions in the Create New Adult Account section of the Connection Invite page
Have other root causes been identified for the continued proliferation of multiple Scoutbook parent profiles?
