Issues with logging items in SB

I have a SM who is having issues with logging items in SB for their newest scouts. When he was attempting to add their Totin’ Chip & Fireman Chit in SB he was not able to. He thought it was a “mobile” issue since he was trying to do this on his phone at camp. When he tried to add either to any Scout on a computer, he had the same issue.

I (he) either do the quick entry & try to add everything all at once, or I (he) enter each individual requirement. Once he adds the date & click save it goes back to a page like nothing has happened. Then, I (he) go back to check the Scouts page & it isn’t in their approved or pending awards. I (he) thought it might be a “it needs to wait until tomorrow morning for it to work” type of thing, but that isn’t the case.

It would be helpful if the SM posted here so we can ask questions directly. 3rd party debug is difficult.

As a start, we will need the Scouting Member IDs for the SM and the scouts (no names)

Ed, having same issue with a Cubmaster in my council as well as den leaders. CM’s ID# 14019625. And it’s virtually every Cub in the unit.

@JoyLabudzinski - I would suggest the cubmaster post in this thread or start a new one.

@JoyLabudzinski This Cubmaster’s user relationships with her child are messed up. Currently she shows as “Mother of”, “Son of”, and “Father of” her child. And her child shows as “Son of”, “Father of”, and “Mother of” the parent.

What we would expect to see (for this particular case):

  • [parent name] is “Mother of” [child name]
    and
  • [child name] is “Son of” [parent name]

Please ask the Registrar to use the Registrar Tools to temporarily remove the relationships between parent and child. Then add them back so they look like the example above.

I would also ask the user to try logging in at my.Scouting. It looks like she hasn’t logged in anywhere since January.
