Kayaking Award can not be assigned

I’ve tried for a few months now, I am not able to award the Kayaking award to any scouts. There are no requirements listed in SB+. I’ve tried checking the “Check all” box, providing a comment, date, and mark as approved. The Apply button will not become clickable to assign the award.

Will this be fixed?

@PeterBurdine- based on what is on award central there are no listed requirements. What is your role and permission setting in the unit

@PeterBurdine Have you tried marking it on an individual Scout’s awards page in SB Plus? Make sure you switch it to the most current / active version.

I am the advancement chair for the unit.

It seems to be something odd about the BSA Kayaking award. There are 4 options for versions: 2023, 2002, 2002, and 2023 (yes they are duplicated). If I select the 2nd 2002, then I can see requirements, but it will error out saying: “There was an error updating one or more requirements, try again later.” The other 3 options do not show/list any requirements.

It looks like you are using quick entry. Can you try going through an individual Scout’s awards page?

@PeterBurdine yeah something is wrong all over with that Award - it is reported

It looks like the 2002 can be awarded individually per Scout (no requirements show still, but that’s ok). When you have a large unit (60+), having to enter awards on a per scout basis is frustrating. It would be great if this was added to quick entry.

I am having this issue too. No requirements are listed for the most current version of the award. I am also the troop advancement chair.

The 2002 requirements are listed but cannot be awarded to scouts.

I had to do it one by one. Open each scout (search the roster), then to their awards and sign it off for each scout individually. And don’t make any mistakes because once that one is awarded, you can’t remove the date so it can’t be unawarded.
