Previous post above, was not ever resolved. This is for all merit badges. We were able to get First Aid assigned with assistance from a previous post, but still can’t assign MBCs for any other MBs.
@KENDRADIMICHELE what are the steps you are taking to assign a MBC?
@DonovanMcNeil From the MB in the Scouts profile, I click assign MBC. I have tried all three methods (name and BSA#), first & last & email, and an advance search. When the MBC counselor shows up, I click assign, and I get either an “Error: Something went wrong, try again” or nothing happens and it goes back to the MB screen (with no counselor assigned). It is only this scout that I have an issue with. Able to assign for all of my other scouts.
OK will look - One Guess. End the Historian position and make a new one. It is odd cause its dates are outside of the membership dates in SB. Use 4/21/26
@DonovanMcNeil Updated Historian, still same issue on MBC
also is this one MBC or any mbc?
Also a specific MB and Member # of an MBC would also help.

The Scout had a Space after name - that is being looked at and should be fixed in next 24 hours if not now.
@DonovanMcNeil tried again this morning, and still the same issue.
I would first try an incognito window or a hard refresh to see if it is stuck in your cache
@DonovanMcNeil did not work after clearing history and cookies, did not work in an incognito window, did not work trying a different browser (Edge instead of Chrome).
@KENDRADIMICHELE I’m going to try connecting to the Scout as an MBC.
@KENDRADIMICHELE I was able to connect to the Scout as an MBC for Camping. (I have disconnected.)
Try connecting to the Scout in Scoutbook Plus while under your MBC profile and the MBC Dashboard. Also please check that your browser is the most current / up to date.
That worked for me, but what about for other MBs? Shouldn’t I be able to assign a MBC to her for other MBs in the future?
@KENDRADIMICHELE so are other leaders having the same issue with this scout? Trying to figure out if it is you or the scout having the issue.
@DonovanMcNeil other leaders as well. COR was also unable to assign MBCs for this scout
