Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I have two registered MBCs (on My.Scouting roster) who have not sync’d onto the SB+ roster. Is there something off with their accounts, or is the system not working correctly?
Our SB+ MB Admin can not add their MBs to their accounts that don’t exist. The workaround is to have the registrar add their MBs. And somehow that process syncs them to SB+.
MID 141960113 created an online multiple application to join BH district as a MBC on 4/29. This was approved on 6/10 and he showed up on the BH roster on 6/11. However, he is not in SB+.
MID12861509 created an online multiple application to join the WA district as a MBC on 7/20. This was approved on 7/22 and she appeared on the WA roster same day. However, she is not in SB+.
Our council SB+ MB Admin (don’t know his official title) can’t see them in SB+, so can’t add their MBs. Both show zero assigned MBs in the report Council Merit Badge Counselor Listing.
First one has been a MBC in My.Scouting for 48 days, but our SB+ MB Admin can’t see him, so no MBs. (This person was previously a MBC in a different council.)
Second has been a MBC in My.S for 7 days, but ditto.
Our process to add a MBC has been to complete an online application to register and submit a MBC Information form which ends up with our SB+ MB Admin for adding the MBs to their account in SB+. When this works correctly, our registrar is not involved. Timing can be as short as two days.
If you see nothing wrong, I’ll write an email for our registrar to create an IT ticket.
@DonovanMcNeil Thank you! I looked up the process. May 03 the process changed. Registrar Tools must be used to add at least one MB to a new MBC before they will show in SB+. So much for our earlier process designed to reduce the registrar’s work load.
