Merge Request: Duplicate BSA Member IDs

I am writing to request a merge of two duplicate BSA Member IDs (my own). I am currently unable to link them myself due to a profile data mismatch error.

Please merge the following accounts, ensuring my children’s records are transferred to the surviving ID:

  • SURVIVING/PRIMARY ID: 140349445 (Keep this one; this is my login for the Scouting app).

  • SECONDARY ID: 14891377 (My children are currently attached to this ID on the website).

Request Details: Please merge the secondary ID into the primary ID. It is critical that my parental connections to my children are moved to ID 140349445 so I can still see them on the mobile app.

The only difference in the data is that for one I have a “De” added to my last name. DOB, email, address is all the same.

Thanks!

@PatriciaDe_Mendonca there is no Merge numbers - they can be managed. We can manage them but not move relationships. As both are in the same council this is best to talk to your registrar about them fixing.

Adding to Donovan’s remarks, there are two steps that the registrar will need to do:

  1. Correct your name on the accounts, then “Manage Member ID” (buzzword).
  2. Move your parent/child “Relationships” (buzzword) to the surviving primary Member ID.

Managing the Member IDs does not move the relationships, as Donovan noted.
