Continuing the discussion from May 18, 2026 Scoutbook Plus Updates:
In looking at the above new feature, I see several MBC listed for badges that have been completed.
I have noticed the same issue in the Unit Leader view for several months.
@JasonKracht - the mbc remains until either they disconnect or the unit disconnects them. It has always been like that. I usually broke the connection once the mb was awarded just in case there were any questions
I understand that it may have always been this way. I still think it should get worked on as an improvement for the user experience of all involved (Scout, Parent, Leader, and MBC). Making it required for someone to manually go in and disconnect these after the fact is work that we shouldn’t ask volunteers to have to remember a task that software should be able to manage.
@JasonKracht - what would be the criteria for auto removal ? I think there are far better ways to spend developer time and money than this.

Something like this would be ideal (or after awarded). I am still seeing scouts in my MBC view that completed their badge last summer (approved and awarded).
I think the few hours of developing something is a great use of resources vs having thousands of leaders and parents having to manually clear things out, or getting frustrated that things that should be gone keep showing up. Out IT tools should be there to make our Volunteer jobs easier, not create extra work.
The real issue is WHEN to end an MBC for any given scout is not a universal solution - too much variance,
