Merit Badge Requirements Not Saving

I am on a Lenovo desktop using Windows 11 and a chrome browser. I have cleared my cache from the last week. I am in Troop 202, Alameda Area, Golden Gate Council. Member ID140844522.

I can no longer save merit badge requirements. I saved 3 on Sunday but now can’t save anymore. I enter the requriments (I’ve tried the long form and quick form) but when I hit “save” it just spirals and never saves. I have logged out and in several times and restarted my computer. Nothing works. I am only a merit badge counsel (no other positions to toggle between). Any advice is appreciated.

@KimArnone it is a troublesome error that is being looked at - it is just not consistent behavior so it is hard to isolate

Scouting America IT does not release schedules. Watch the Scoutbook - Scoutbook Plus Change Log - Scouting Forums for an announcement of the fix.

Thanks for the reply. I see an update on the log for today but can’t tell if it is related to my comment. I tried again and I still can’t enter MB requirements.

@KimArnone - did you read the change log? Did it mention merit badge counselors and saving req updates?

@KimArnone

There have not been any fixes for this issue released.

Watch Scoutbook - Scoutbook Plus Change Log - Scouting Forums for an announcement of a fix.

Thanks, I will watch the log. Still not working. So frustraing. Some kids are missing COH awards for this merit badge. Bummer.

@KimArnone If the Scouts have completed the merit badge, then you don’t need to worry about marking off all of the individual requirements - just mark the merit badge as completed overall.

Nothing is saving. I have tried each way: One requirement at a time, quick entry and just entering the completion date. I can’t save anything. Once I click the save button I get a spiraling circle and it never stops spinning.

@KimArnone Until the issue gets fixed, you could contact the unit and let them know that the Scout(s) have completed X merit badge with date MM/DD/20YY, and ask them to enter it for you. You could sign a physical blue card.

Thanks. I was told not to do blue cards at the event and to have the scouts reach out (via email) to request that I approve the requirements through Scoutbook. The scouts have my email and I have their names but not their email addresses or member IDs. My work-around has been to ask the scouts to copy their advancement adult on an email with me and that I would confirm to that adult unitl scoutbook is fixed.

It’s now working! I hope it continues.

I’m having this same issue. I have tried everything I can think of – “quick entry,” checking off individual requirements one at a time, entering a completion date for the MB overall. Nothing works. I have two merit badges to check off requirements (some partial completions) for numerous scouts, so I don’t want to put all this work on our advancement coordinator. I hope this issue is resolved soon. We have our court of honor coming up soon, so I want to get these completed.
