Need to Undo Bulk Award Entry in Scoutbook Plus

On Oct 1, 2025, I accidentally marked over 350 awards~ as Awarded in Scoutbook Plus. My intention was only to move forward awards that were completed and ready to present, but I did not realize that Scoutbook Plus automatically included awards that were still in Needs Purchasing status as well.

Because of this, a large batch of awards was prematurely marked as Awarded before they were actually handed out to Scouts. I now need to roll back this update so that the awards are returned to their proper status (Needs Purchasing or Needs Awarding).

Manually editing each award one by one is not easily feasible due to the large number (350+). I am requesting assistance from support/council to either:

  1. Undo the bulk action taken on Oct 1, 2025, or

  2. Reset the affected awards to their correct status in bulk.

Unit Information:

  • Unit type and number (Pack 358, Zionsville IN)

  • My role (Key 3 Delegate)

Please let me know what additional details you need so this can be corrected.

Thank you for your help!!!

Unfortunately your Council cannot make this any easier and there is no national support beyond the volunteers on this forum.

The To Award page in Scoutbook Plus works the same as the Needs Awarding page in legacy Scoutbook. Both would show any award that was approved but not marked awarded, if it was on To Purchase/Needs Purchasing or already on a Purchase Order.

I think your best option is to get other Key 3 members to help you by splitting the work.

You may be able to use the Export/Backup for advancement in Scoutbook Plus to easily find what was marked Awarded by mistake. Load the file into Excel or Google Sheets and filter it based on Awarded and the date Awarded.

Once a PO is CLOSED it is locked and Awarded status does not effect those

The other element here is that no Cub Stuff is a restricted purchase - so you could pull the history and just buy it without a purchase order

I had not added them to a PO yet. In the old system I would award then open a new PO.

This is helpful to know. I will look to see if I can export the advancement report to help with this.

No you would not - in Legacy and in SB+ - an Awarded item can not be put on a PO because it is awarded
