NOAA Auto complete date for Merit badge completions

I’ve got a scout, ID 141554596. He completed his lifesaving merit badge on 10/11/2025.
I havn’t logged new NOAA awards since the migration to Scoutbook Plus. In the past, I believe I had to manually log the MB completion dates. But now it seems to auto-complete.

However, for this scout, his NOAA for aquatics automatically marks the date completed as the date I mark it as awarded. So now it’s marked as 7/22/2026. I came upon this because when I looked at his record today, I saw that it was marked 12/30/2025 as completion date for NOAA aquatics Lifesaving MB requirement. I was confused about this so I went back, un-awarded his MB, uncompleted his merit badge, etc etc. Then, re-entered all the correct dates. Once it was marked as completed as a MB, it auto updated the NOAA Award page with today’s date.

And it won’t let me change it because “The requirement has linked advancements”. Understandable. But I don’t understand why the completion date is off.

@NancyLin - what date does the scouts bsa history report show as a complete date. The date awarded is a unit internal date

If you hover over each merit badge at the top it will give you the audit details.
