Hello, I am the mom (*999) of a scout (*290). I have been trying to allow his dad access to his account on Scoutbook Plus, but when he tries to log in, he gets the message “no Scoutbook Plus access.” Dad has two member IDs, as he tried to see if a new one would work, but the same thing happened. When I log in to Scoutbook Plus, both of his IDs show up in the listed Relationships, and show that our scout is his son. His older ID is 142273802 and the newer one is 142586827. He said he has had some of the adult leaders look at it during meetings, but no one has been able to figure out the problem.
Dad has a relationship to son on both of his MIDs. Dad needs to pick one MID and my.scouting.org ID to use. We can merge the my.scouting.org IDs. One uses the Google login button, the other does not. We just need to know which one he wants to use.
After we merge the IDs, we will let you know which MID is primary. You will need to contact your council to have them remove the relationship from the “other” MID.
Thank you for taking the time to reply. Dad just deleted his older account, so the one he will be using going forward is 142586827. Does our council still need to fix anything? He still cannot log into Scoutbook Plus, which was the problem in the first place, and why he decided to try making a new account, in case that one worked. He cleared the cache on his internet browser before trying to log in again, but was still denied access.
I have merged Dad’s my.scouting.org IDs and changed the MID on his Scoutbook accout to *827. He should be able to log in now using the Google Login button.
Thank you! Everything seems to be working for him now.
