Parent Information is Incorrect

I have a nonregistered parent connected to their Scout. The parent’s name and email address is correct. However, the address (parent never lived in that state) and phone number is wrong. He is also connected to a child that isn’t his. He has a very common first and last name, so there are multiple people with his name. The email address is listed as No Emails, so he isn’t receiving any of our emails and hasn’t gotten the email to connect to Scoutbook.

@ReneeSeese Please contact the local council and ask them to remove the incorrect parent. If they are unable to do so, they can submit a help ticket to National.

Greetings, one parent has expired from scoutbookPlus. Please help add back. Our local council has identified her Member ID: 13822458. Troop 0025 (NBOF Council).
The scout’s grandmother is currently listed as his mother with MID 13600280 and should remain with the connected relationship the one parent missing. Thank you.

@StephenCoates that is purely a Council or Unit issue to add a relationship. Either the council needs to add the relationship, or the unit can in SB+ > Scout Profile > Relationships

SB+ has the following notation when viewing the calendar list of individuals.

(removed by Moderator)

SB+ has the following profile for Laura W. after clicking her name in legacy Scoutbook where she is shown with a relationship to her scout MID137022200.

I have now received the Profile Editor permission but have not been able to have her MID 13822458 added in SB+. Her profile appears as shown in the image below.

Our council registrar is not familiar with SB+ which is why I initiated this inquiry. Please advise next step. Thanks

The registrar fixes the relationships in a different tool. SB+ just reflects what that system has set.

@StephenCoates Ask the Registrar to use the Registrar Tools to look up the Scout. In the “Relationships” tab / section, then add the parent as a relationship.

Is there a reason that the following Scoutbook instruction given below by DonovanMcNeil Scoutbook User Advisory Council is not working for Relationships +”

…the unit can in SB+ > Scout Profile > Relationships”

I have gone back to our council registrar to request she use the Registrar Tools to add a Relationship.

Classic Scoutbook is not the place to make these connections, as noted by Donovan.

Only the Unit Key 3 can make this connection.

You can’t add a member ID to an adult profile, which sounds like the issue you’re running into here. The adult can create their own my.scouting login, make sure that they try to match any existing accounts. There is more information on creating my.scouting accounts here:

https://discussions.scouting.org/uploads/short-url/aDLqIbSnE1jqVjffXBTHTIPoji2.pdf

If they are able to get their my.scouting login to find the existing Member ID (it might not match due to using nicknames, missing middle name, bad DOB data, etc), then that login should adopt the existing Member ID. Then, you should be able to make the connection from the scout’s profile in SB+ by following the instructions and searching for that parent’s Member ID.
