I am requesting assistance cleaning up a parent’s BSA Member IDs, Scoutbook+ accounts, and parent/child relationships.
The parent appears to have at least three BSA Member ID numbers from three different councils:
Patriots’ Path Council: [PARENT PPC BSA ID - 142043843]
Northern New Jersey Council: [PARENT NNJC BSA ID - 142187704]
Greater New York Councils: Unknown Member ID
Both of the parent’s Scouts are currently registered in units in Patriots’ Path Council—one in a pack and one in a troop. Therefore, the parent’s Patriots’ Path Council BSA Member ID should be the PRIMARY Member ID associated with their My.Scouting account.
The two Scouts are:
Scout – Pack: [SCOUT BSA ID - 142043842]
Scout – Troop: [SCOUT BSA ID - 142187703]
I am also seeing multiple entries for the parent in Scoutbook under different BSA Member IDs.
Could you please help with the following:
- Make sure the parent’s known BSA Member IDs are associated with the same My.Scouting account, with the Patriots’ Path Council Member ID set as PRIMARY.
- If possible, identify the parent’s Greater New York Councils BSA Member ID and associate it with the same account.
- Merge any duplicate Scoutbook user accounts belonging to the parent.
- Confirm that both Scouts’ parent/guardian relationships are connected to the parent’s Patriots’ Path Council BSA Member ID.
- Remove any parent/guardian relationships for these Scouts that point to the parent’s Northern New Jersey, Greater New York, or other secondary BSA Member IDs.
Thank you for your assistance.
