Parents RSVPing as parents instead of as scouts

Families of our unit access scoutbook via multiple platforms… mobile app, desktop, iPhone, android… some may be adult leaders as well as parents. Some may have parent accounts as well as scout accounts pointing at the same email address.

The symptom of possibly all of these causes is that I get a mix of RSVPs with some parents saying yes, but their children with no response… generally making RSVP lists require thought to interpret… What training or instruction do I need to give my unit families to help make RSVP more smooth?

For parents they have to respond individually for each RSVP - they should be able to do under their parent log in - but for each event an answer has to be given for each person
