Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I was trying to clean up an artifact from our calendar from where our girls troop was ended (and merged into our boys troop). When I updated a recurring calendar event to remove this artifact calendar, I got multiple errors (I didn’t get a screen shot of them) and it deleted the entire recurring series starting on the first Monday in March (the next upcoming meeting).
I have no idea why it did what it did. The real question is can the event be recovered from a backup?? A lot of information was in the meeting notes that we’d like to not have to recreate.
If this is the kind of error that can happen trying to clean up the problem then the problem probably needs to be fixed a higher level.
Here’s the problem - when one of our units (624G) was ended, the events that were created for both units (624G & 624B) had this artifact and we were getting emails saying that it was an event for 624F & 624G (which no longer existed). There should be a way to clean this up with out blowing up an entire recurring event.
