What’s with the Roster being in a constant state of flux? We cleaned up Scouts that aren’t coming back and did not pay and MULIPLE TIMES they show back up again on the roster!
@JosephTurner1 in the Registration system there is a built in 90 day grace period past registration expire dates, so when a expire date is reached a grace period kicks in - this can force the scout back into Scoutbook Platforms that memberships where ended in.
Thanks. I don’t understand why this is so, but it really doesn’t matter. I guess what bothers me is that all of these things just happen, no guidance, no warning, nothing. SB and SB+ are woefully undertrained and over convoluted. Wish National would have a thorough SB training for all adults. 2/3 of all Committee questions revolve around not understanding SB.
The problem isn’t so much Scoutbook but the Scouting America membership team and the teams that maintain database containing membership information changing the grace period and how it is handled. This causes the system that keeps the Scoutbook roster up to date to see a change in the record and bring the Scoutbook membership back. We have provided feedback that the current operation is not correct but the issue has not been corrected.
