When looking at the Advancements section for our troop, it shows that there is one Merit Badge in need of approval. But when any of us with appropriate access clicks on To Approve → Merit Badges, that section shows “no records to display” (see below). Do we have a wayward MB somewhere (I can’t find anything not yet approved in scouts’ records), or is this a glitch?
@AlisonShearer those bubbles are problematic. I would try a hard refresh of the browser. If that does not do it ask other leaders if there is a finished MB and check that scout.
A hard refresh didn’t do anything - bubble is still there. I don’t have a good way of checking with every leader or MB counselor about a finished MB, since some are not associated with our troop. Any other thoughts?
Does a different Approver see the red bubble also?
Go to Reports on the left panel, scroll to Quick Export and run the Advancements export. Edit the file with Excel or Google Sheets. Look for a Merit Badge or Merit Badge requirement with a Date completed but Approved False.
yes some bug was found - I would follow @edavignon advice as a solution for now
@AlisonShearer is there anything under the Requirements tab to approve?
The MB that needs to be approved is Archery for a Scout with initials EY.
That particular MB is already showing as approved and awarded to that scout (three years ago).
We all (Approvers) see the bubble.
I ran the report, but I’m finding requirements that have a date completed/approved False, that are already marked in SB+ as approved and awarded. Will need to look at this more thoroughly when I have more time.
Thanks for the update. I will ask the report developers to look at the exported report the developers were able to generate for your troop to figure out why the status is incorrect.

Ok, I took a longer look at the exported report. And you were right that it shows the archery MB for EY as completed (has a date), but the approved column says FALSE. But the spreadsheet (and that scout’s profile) also show the MB as completed and awarded 3 years ago. I checked that MB and “approved” was not clicked - I approved it. But that has not fixed the bubble. I’ll see if I can find any other records that may be like this. The spreadsheet is a lot to go through.
