Scout unable to log in to profile

Hi, my son is unable to log into scoutbook.

Can someone reset his profile. it would be best if he can login w/ the associated gmail address.

We already tried the password reset trick from my.scouting.org, but it did not work.

@ThomasArmstrong a Gmail is on the account but the username looks to be a school email address. is that what is being used for the username?

Can we simply change username to match his gmail address? The account was initially set up with his school email address, which is probably why this problem started happening after he tried to switch to his gmail account.

No that cannot be done - perhaps council can send in a National membercare ticket, but honestly not sure that would help. You could create a new account at my.scouting.org. forcing around the old one, or just making a new one, then it could be merged to match up after it is made.
The old username should still work.

ok. so you think the old name would match the full email address of the initial account he set up? or just the prefix? ‘jarmstrong@his_school.org’ or just ‘jarmstrong’ ?
