Scoutbook Plus: Can't Assign Valid Merit Badge Counselor to a Scout's Merit Badge - Search Doesn't Find Her

When I try to assign a merit badge counselor to a scout, it can’t find her. One of our scout parents is a merit badge counselor. When I go into the Scout in scoutbook plus and try to assign the merit badge counselor, none of the search options will find her, even though she is a valid merit badge counselor for the Personal Management merit badge.

Here are the MB counselor search results from the counsel website:

I need to assign her to multiple scouts for the Personal Management MB. I’ve entered her first name, last name, and email address and it does not find her. When I do the advanced search to try to find her, it does not bring her up, for that matter, the results seem to be “mostly” alphabetical by first name, but stop at the “J” names.

I’d really like to get this resolved as soon as possible as her son will be aging it in the next month.=

@JenniferO_Leary that MBC position expired 7/31/26 - they would need to renew it. And their SYT is out of date too.

How do I tell her to renew her position? Why is it still showing up in the council search for MBCounselor?

She would take SYT renewal - and then contact council to renew

Who at council does she need to contact? Trying to make sure I give her all the information she will need.

@JenniferO_Leary I would recommend contacting your local council service center and ask them. They should be able to put you in contact with the right person in your council.

@JenniferO_Leary - the council search is most likely a home grown database that is not tied to the training in my.scouting.org. I am not certain I would rely on it.
